Starz Travel Teams
posted 05/04/2012

To the Las Vegas Lacrosse Community,

In an effort to clarify some questions in regards to the Two recognized Starz teams in Nevada, please use the following as a reminder of which group (Vegas Starz or Zip It) players should play for.

Any player living on the Westside plays for the Vegas Starz and any player living on the Eastside plays for Zip It.

Each group (Vegas Starz and Zip It) has an Equal opportunity for its players to be nominated for recommendation for the prestigious West Coast Starz program, based on individual abilities. However, you must be a member of an official recognized Starz team to be eligible for the West Coast Starz.

I hope that clears up any and all questions.  Have a great summer Starz season!

Sportsmanship: Honor the Game!
posted 04/29/2012

Sportsmanship- Coaches, Players and Spectators
SNLA expects spectators as well as coaches and players to maintain a sportsmanlike attitude through the remainder of the season, and in all events going forward. Your attitude and behavior is a reflection on yourself, your child, your team/players and your community.

All cheers, comments and actions shall be in direct support of one’s team. No cheers, comments or actions shall be directed at one’s opponent or at contest officials. Derogatory and/or unsportsmanlike language is not allowed.  No player may be singled out by number, name or position with negative comments of any kind.

Starting in playoff rounds, due to the high level of competition and stress on players, the use of external boom boxes, air horns, megaphones and/or other artificial noise-making devices will be strictly prohibited. Anyone using such device will be asked to remove the artificial devise from the event area. You are allowed to cheer and celebrate with your voice and hands! Music may be played from PA systems in stadium settings before games, between quarters and half time.

Please understand that spectators who fail to comply with conduct expectations may be expelled from the event.

Honor the Game and Good Luck!
